Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Liaising with the appropriate bodies/personnel (on a regular basis) to ensure lifting equipment and lifting operation integrity is appropriately delivered.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance through the Integrity Assurance Process.
- Defining the lifting equipment examination strategy and inspection plans.
- Carrying out verification and audit of lifting operations and equipment ensuring lessons learned are fed back effectively and efficiently.
- Supporting the Crane Engineers and Lifting Engineer of the Operations (Maintenance Support Services) by the provision of technical support for Lifting Equipment and Lifting Operations onsite.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills - 10 years proven experience of supervising and managing site lifting operations, maintenance, inspection & load testing activities for onshore/offshore Lifting Equipment including Offshore Pedestal Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Runway beams, Mobile Cranes, Crawler Cranes, Forklifts, Winches, Electric Hoists, Pull Lifts, Chain Blocks, Wire Rope Slings, Webbing Slings, Chain Slings, Shackles, Eye Bolts, Lifeboat Davits/Winches, Containers/Baskets Be able to prepare Lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies.
- Manage the process for verifying the competency of Lifting Team (Appointed Person, Lifting Supervisor, Crane Operator and Rigger / Banksman)
- Able to conduct incident investigations on lifting related incidents
- Adequate experience in Computer Software related applications and reporting
Leadership & Communication skills, High level of Self-Motivation, Organize & Mange Team and ability to achieve orientation & mange emergencies
Professional Certifications - Hold Minimum 4 Diplomas in addition to Entry Exam from Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA-UK) Qualification.
- Trained and certified for Appointed Person Course from CPCS A61 Category from UK or equivalent which shall be approved by ADNOC Offshore Technical and Management System Audit Skills with TPI Certification Audits.
- Broad based knowledge and conversant with International Standards relevant to Lifting Equipment and Operations (API, ASME, BS, ISO, DIN, DNV, LR, LOLER) and the like
Remain up to date with Health & Safety at Work Guidelines. - Thorough knowledge of Local and UK Statutory Acts and Legislations.
- Excellent organizational, Problem Solving, Contractor's handling & Communication Skills.
- Proven QA/QC Experience
