Purpose of this position / Position summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have:
Strong experience in end-to-end application development (front-end and back-end).
Solid exposure to system design, data model design, API design, and cloud-native development practices.
Deep hands-on expertise with modern front-end frameworks (preferably Angular and/or React) and back-end development using ".NET Core", ".NET Framework", "C#", and/or "Python".
A strong understanding of secure-first design and OWASP guidelines, cloud security, software engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and cloud architecture (preferably Azure).
This role requires excellent coding and debugging skills, strong documentation habits, the ability to collaborate closely with architects and technical leads, and the capability to guide junior developers. Experience with Azure, micro-frontends, microservices, cloud-native services, and the use of Generative AI tools for code and test generation is highly desirable.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Application Development
Implement high-quality, maintainable, and efficient back-end and front-end code using ".NET Core", ".NET Framework", "C#", "Python", "Angular", and/or "React".
Build responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible UIs integrated with robust back-end services.
System, Component & UI Architecture
Contribute to system and component-level design, working closely with software architects to refine and implement design patterns and technical solutions.
Develop reusable UI components, libraries, and patterns to ensure consistency across applications.
Contribute to and refine front-end architecture, including micro-frontends (e.g., module-based composition, Module Federation or similar patterns).
Data Model Implementation
Implement and optimize data models in collaboration with architects and database engineers to support application performance, integrity, and scalability.
API Development & Integration
Develop, document, and maintain secure, robust, and scalable APIs, ensuring adherence to established API design standards.
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services, handling client-side state management, error handling, and performance optimization for API-heavy applications.
Cloud-Native Development & Integration (Azure Preferred)
Design and build cloud-native applications, leveraging containerization, microservices, and managed cloud services.
Build and deploy services on Azure using Docker and Kubernetes, following cloud-native best practices (scalability, resilience, observability, and cost-efficiency).
Implement and integrate with Azure services (e.g., App Service, API Management, Storage, Identity, Monitoring, CDN) in line with architectural guidelines.
Secure-First Development (OWASP & Cloud Security)
Apply OWASP and secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle (e.g., XSS, CSRF, injection, authentication/authorization, secure session management) on both client and server.
Collaborate with security and platform teams to ensure cloud-native security (IAM, network security, secrets management, TLS, configuration hardening).
Performance, Optimization & Quality
Optimize applications for speed and scalability (bundling, lazy loading, code splitting, caching, query optimization, API and database performance tuning).
Use profiling tools and metrics to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks on both client and server.
Apply solid software engineering principles, including clean code, design patterns, unit/integration/end-to-end testing, and code reviews to ensure high code quality.
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
Estimate work items, manage technical debt, and deliver features on time.
Work closely with architects, product owners, QA engineers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to clarify requirements, resolve technical issues, and deliver robust solutions.
Documentation
Produce clear, concise technical documentation for modules, APIs, front-end components, patterns, and development processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Contribute to design systems, style guides, and coding standards for full stack development.
Mentoring, Guidance & Knowledge Sharing
Provide technical guidance to junior developers, perform code reviews, and share best practices within the team.
Conduct technical sessions and help elevate overall full stack and cloud-native competency of the team.
Generative & Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering (Desirable)
Use Generative AI tools for code scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, and documentation to improve productivity and quality.
Apply basic prompt engineering techniques to obtain reliable and secure outputs from AI tools.
Experiment with Agentic AI concepts where applicable (e.g., automating repetitive coding/testing tasks) under guidance from architects or technical leads where needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience
- 8–10 years of professional software development experience, with significant exposure to full stack and cloud-native development.
- Experience contributing to at least 5–6 distinct projects or major product releases.
Technical Skills
Core Back-end Skills
- Strong proficiency in:
- Application development using ".NET Core", ".NET Framework", and "C#".
- "Python" (added advantage).
- Experience with:
- Microservices architecture and cloud-native service design.
- ORMs such as Dapper or similar.
- DAPR or similar distributed application runtimes (exposure/experience is a plus).
Core Front-end Skills
- Strong proficiency in "JavaScript" and "TypeScript".
- Expert-level experience in at least one modern front-end framework: "Angular" and/or "React".
- Solid understanding of "HTML5", "CSS3", responsive design, and modern layout techniques (Flexbox, Grid).
- Experience with:
- Component-based design and reusable UI patterns.
- State management (e.g., "NgRx", "Redux", or equivalent).
- Micro-frontends and modular front-end architecture (e.g., Module Federation).
Integration, Tooling & Testing
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling authentication/authorization on client and server.
- Familiarity with build tools and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Angular CLI, Create React App).
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools, such as:
- Back-end: xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, pytest (or equivalents).
- Front-end: Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright (or equivalents).
Cloud & DevOps (Cloud-Native, Azure Preferred)
- Hands-on cloud-native development experience on Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience with:
- Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- CI/CD pipelines for full stack build, test, and deployment.
- Azure services: App Service, API Management, Storage, identity and access management, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Security & OWASP
- Good understanding of:
- System design, data model design, and API design concepts.
- Cloud-native design and secure-first design principles.
- Strong understanding and practical application of:
- OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices for both front-end and back-end.
- Performance, accessibility, and usability on the client; reliability and robustness on the server.
Additional / Complementary Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience with DICOM or healthcare-related applications.
- Familiarity with design systems, Storybook, or similar component documentation tools.
- Experience with microservices backends integrated with micro-frontends.
- Generative & Agentic AI:
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools for code generation and test suite creation.
- Exposure or experience in using Agentic AI framework concepts for development workflows.
- Experience working in both Linux and Windows development environments.
