ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute strategic fitting events and provide best-in-class performance fitting evaluations and club builds.
- Partner cross-functionally with the Outside Sales Representative(s) to ensure exceptional customer service through inventory management and inquiry communication.
- Support Callaway HQ sales initiatives, including but not limited to product releases, educational experiences, micro-launches, sales incentives, and programs.
- Stay informed about new product attributes and performance characteristics to ensure knowledgeable customer interactions.
- Gather club specifications from customers and staffers.
- Build golf clubs to player order specifications.
- Perform club-fittings for customers and staffers.
- Discuss equipment needs with customers and staffers.
- Adjust and/or service golf equipment for qualified customers.
- Submit orders and meticulously record any billings and product specifications.
- Track and order inventory in the Tour trailer.
- Interact with peers and staffers collaboratively and professionally.
- Execute a Tour Trailer schedule with Manager.
- Determine/support the best route to drive the Tour Trailer from one event to the next.
- Determine product choice or equipment characteristics to best support the needs of customers.
- Perform additional duties as specified by the Manager.
- Assist in product training for both Green Grass and Off-Course accounts and associates.
- Maintain the appearance of the Tour trailer in keeping with the professional image of Callaway Golf.
- Oversee maintenance and planning for Tour Trailer.
- Clean and restock the Tour Trailer tools and supplies.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Strong knowledge of golf products and club fitting.
- Able to build and modify golf clubs to the standards required by professional golfers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Highly capable of working as part of a team toward meeting department goals.
- Must be timely, reliable, and deliver on commitments to customers (internal and external).
- Determined employee who can be counted on to fulfill obligations, especially regarding travel requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high diligence.
- Must be dependable with a track record of prioritizing and multi-tasking.
- Able to work “on the road” for extended periods.
- Exhibited leadership and professionalism.
- Geographic knowledge of the territory is preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in the golf industry.
- Strong knowledge of golf product.
- 2 years of experience in fitting or building golf equipment required.
- Experience towing a trailer preferred.
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance eligibility to drive a company vehicle.
- Driver’s record must meet authorized driver criteria for the company.
- Required to drive a company vehicle.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)
- Regularly required to travel.
- Regularly required to lift heavy loads (up to 70 pounds)
- Regularly required to spend extensive time on feet.
- Regularly required to work with tools.
- Regularly required to work outside in the elements.
- Regularly required to work in a trailer where access is by stairway only.
- Regularly required to work on uneven terrain outside on and around golf courses.
- Frequently required to work more than 8 hours in a day.
