Job Description
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Data Governance strategies and frameworks by assisting in the development and maintenance of data management capabilities such as Data Quality and Metadata Management.
- Collaborate with Data Platform, Data Architecture, and other capability teams to learn and apply technical standards, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Assist Data Domain teams in building and maintaining data products (e.g., Investments, Distribution, Corporate) by applying governance principles and supporting data quality validation activities.
- Develop working knowledge of enterprise data governance tools such as Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and MANTA.
- Work closely with data stewards, technical teams, and business analysts to understand business requirements and support data quality and governance solution development.
- Assist in performing data quality analysis and preparing reports that help data stewards and business teams evaluate data quality metrics and business rules.
- Identification, analysis, Implementation of DQ Rules and resolution of data quality and governance issues at intermediatory level.
- Follow established data governance standards, processes, and best practices in daily activities while identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and adaptability in a dynamic business and technology environment.
- Build knowledge of investment management business processes, data flows, and common data quality challenges affecting operations.
Work Experience / Knowledge
- 3-5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data lifecycle management and exposure to at least one data management discipline such as Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, Data Governance, Data Integration, or Master Data Management.
- Fundamental knowledge of Data Governance concepts, frameworks, and data quality principles.
- Exposure to data governance and data quality tools such as Informatica IDQ, EDC, Axon, MANTA, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts and relational databases.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms, data lakes, or modern data architecture is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, or other data warehousing platforms is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques; exposure to Python or other scripting languages is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a willingness to learn and grow in the Data Governance domain.

- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively under guidance while progressively taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Management practices.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and apply new concepts.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to team members and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document and communicate technical and business requirements.
- Ability to identify issues, understand their impact, and escalate them appropriately to senior team members or Data Governance Managers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use commonly available tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, or similar applications to create process flows, data flow diagrams, and documentation.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and business processes in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

- Graduate Degree in computer science or relevant experience in the technology
