Description
Pro Shop & Golf Cart Positions Available
- Pro Shop - Performs intermediate clerical work involving the collection of fees and general maintenance and operation of pro shop; does related work as required
- Golf Cart - Performs unskilled work in the cleaning and maintenance of golf carts and facilities; does related work as required.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Head Golf Professional.
Pro Shop
Assisting golfers; collecting and accounting for fees and charges; preparing and maintaining records and files.
Greet and assist golfers
Process tee times and customer purchases
Operate the point-of-sale system, collects greens fees and cart fees, maintains records and files;
Answer phones and provide excellent customer service
Keep the pro shop clean, organized, and stocked
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
Golf Cart
Washes, cleaning, maintaining golf carts and stage golf carts
Rotates carts after use.
Performs general custodial duties in cart barn.
Secures gates
Provide friendly service to guests
This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires stooping, walking, and grasping; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, peripheral vision, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of machines, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and vibration.
General knowledge of the operation of a golf shop and golf course operations; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to perform record keeping and mathematical calculations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public; ability to work unusual hours during the golfing season.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school education, attending high school or work permit
Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina. Requires evening and weekend work hours.
