Job Description
The Group Finance Enablement FIT Business Intelligence Business Analyst is a well-rounded and skilled individual with a mature understanding of Data Management. By understanding and using data, solutions are designed and built to assist stakeholders with producing reports and dashboards that will enable informed business decisions. This role requires a committed, analytical individual with excellent communication skills.Key Result Areas / Outputs:
Tasks and Responsibilities
Build trusted relationship with stakeholders
Gather and document data and reporting requirements
Perform data profiling and analysis
Independently or collaboratively design data models to meet business requirement
Produce clear and comprehensive design artefacts such as data flows, source to target mappings, data models, sample reports/dashboards
Build proof-of-concept or mock-ups to illustrate functionality and/or output
Engage with technical team and support development process
Test and monitor testing to ensure quality final delivery
Build output e.g. Power BI reports and/or dashboards
Facilitate implementation, delivery and adoption by stakeholders through training & support
Mentor and manage junior team members
Prepare and present regular progress updates to stakeholders
Follow Data Management best practices, particularly ensuring Data Governance is in place
Personal effectiveness
Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality
Communicates clearly and timeously
Problem solving aptitude
Collaborates effectively with rest of team and stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and meet firm deadlines

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Experience: 5+ years working experience in the BIBA role with warehousing/power BI experience
Qualifications: Degree or Postgraduate degree in Information Systems or related field
Technologies: SQL, PowerBI, Data Warehousing, Tabular cubes, Microsoft Master Data Services, DAX, Exposure to AWS, data lake architecture and json would be advantageous
Methodologies: DAMA, DCAM, Kimball
Advantageous: Experience with Oracle ERP and EPM systems
Advantageous: Analytical and BI experience in Human Capital, Actuarial and/or financial reporting
