As the Sr. Consultant of Marketing Operations, you will be the operational heartbeat and systems architect for our modern social and marketing transformation practice. You are a Strategic Outcome Manager who designs, builds, and upholds the high-functioning principles, frameworks, and infrastructure that allows our teams and our clients to achieve modern relevance at scale.
Sitting at the center of an integrated team across Client Partnership, Strategy, Media, Analytics, Creative, and Production, you will architect the end-to-end delivery of Marketing Transformation projects, and design client team and workflow recommendations. You will guide major brands through marketing engine transformations—operationalizing Vayner principles, driving AI tool adoption, removing system friction, and ensuring our work delivers measurable business impact across the modern attention landscape.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Systems Architecture & Operational Excellence: Act as the strategic systems architect for complex client engagements. Design high-functioning team workflows, technical infrastructure, and operating rhythms that integrate AI, CAIT, and modern social practices into daily execution.
- Marketing Transformation & Organizational Design: Lead client-facing marketing transformation projects (including workshops, R.E.S.E.T. and Co-Lab offerings). Walk the client halls to audit existing marketing engines, redesign client team structures and workflows, and advise executive stakeholders on aligning internal operations with modern relevance strategy.
- Vayner Product & Principle Upholding: Operationalize and enforce core Vayner capabilities across all engagements—including 7+ Platforms & Handles (P&H) expansion, daily AIM sessions (Analyze, Ideate, Make), Cohort-driven creative execution, and alignment with client BOBOs (Business Objectives & Brand Outcomes). Ensure media and organic social operate synergistically to drive views and sales.
- 100-Day Excellence & Client Onboarding: Architect and own the client onboarding lifecycle (First 100 Days). Ensure new retainer clients are seamlessly integrated, establishing non-negotiables, setting up governance frameworks, and conducting "elephant meetings" to proactively resolve barriers.
- End-to-End Delivery & Governance: Serve as the final escalation point and source of truth for scope integrity, legal/business affairs compliance, risk intelligence, and meeting hygiene.
- Productivity: Hold full accountability for driving productivity on your assigned projects; intentional outcomes, meaningful connections, and communications incl. meetings
- Leadership & Mindset: Cultivate an equitable, solutions-oriented culture rooted in kind candor, empathy, and active practitioner leadership.
- Executive Operations Experience: 5–7+ years of progressive experience in agency operations, management consulting, or marketing transformation
- Commercial Mastery: Demonstrated expertise managing complex client scopes
- Systems Architect Mindset: A "Project COO" orientation—passionate about troubleshooting complex team dynamics, building scalable operational frameworks, and converting high-level strategy into seamless execution systems
- AI & Workflow Integration: Conceptual and practical fluency with AI-assisted agency workflows, modern project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Google Workspace), and automated delivery systems
- Deep Modern Social & Relevance Fluency: Expert-level understanding of social-first marketing, algorithm dynamics, Platforms & Culture (PAC), answer engine optimization (AEO/LLM discoverability), and creator ecosystems (CAIT)
- Client Transformation & Advisory Leadership: Proven ability to interface with C-suite client stakeholders, lead organizational redesigns, navigate complex politics, and guide change management with authority and empathy
- Human-Centered Leadership: Exceptional communication skills grounded in kind candor, humility, and a "yes, and" growth mindset. Ability to lead through ambiguity and foster high psychological safety across multidisciplinary teams
