Windsor, Ontario is one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions.
Position Summary
We have an opportunity for a Sorter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting capsules for defects and ensuring quality standards are met. You will also assist in transferring products for packaging and preparing them for shipment. This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity and supporting production efficiency.

The Role
Inspect capsules for defects and foreign materials in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Transfer sorted capsules onto the packaging line and pack as per product documentation.
Sanitize trays to maintain cleanliness standards.
Assemble and label boxes according to product documentation.
Transfer packaged capsules onto skids for shipment and stage in the warehouse.
Polish capsules as required.
Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Perform other duties as required.
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED)/Certificate of Adult Education Completion (CAEC) and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required.
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility.
The employee's role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity.
Occasionally, the position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, alongside close vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals.
Preferred Skills & Background
Strong mathematical skills to compute simple calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, percent, and averages).
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
This position does not qualify for sponsorship.
Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as World Education Services (WES).
Pay
The start hourly rate for this position is $23.86. The trained hourly rate for this position is $29.82. Catalent is a global employer, and this compensation does not reflect positions that work in other countries.
