Join our growing clinical cytogenetics laboratory as a Genetics/Genomics Technologist II, where your expertise in fluorescence in situ hybridization, complex casework, and advanced cytogenetic testing will help deliver accurate results that guide patient care.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs genetic/genomic testing in accordance with CAP (College of America Pathologists) standards in an accurate and timely manner. This testing may be complexity and may include:
- Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridization (FISH)
- Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
- Cytogenetic chromosome analysis
- Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
- Pharmacogenomics (PGx)
- Chromosomal Microarray (CMA)
Results of these tests, which may have significant clinical impact, are obtained through manual and automated processes. The position serves as an experienced technologist who supports routine casework and lab operations, helping to ensure consistency in day-to-day testing and acting as a resource for newer staff.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

- Ability to use good and sound judgment and perform well in supervisor’s absence.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays, as required and/or on rotation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well developed attention to detail and organization skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or another accredited four-year degree with equivalent coursework meeting CLIA qualifications for high-complexity testing personnel.
Three (3) years’ experience as a genetics/genomics technologist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
ASCP certification in Cytogenetics, Molecular Biology, or Medical Technology.
Experience across multiple genetics/genomics technologies
Additional related education and/or experience.
