Sales Representative – Southwestern Ontario

Location: Remote – Southwestern Ontario

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to continue to grow their business throughout Southwestern Ontario, with a primary focus on the livestock industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and managing the full sales cycle in a dynamic and growing market.

The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in the field meeting with customers, developing new accounts, and representing innovative technology solutions that help improve farm operations and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
• Prospect and build relationships with dairy producers and agricultural operations.
• Conduct customer visits to understand operational needs and present customized solutions.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry events, and proactive outreach.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to maximize market growth.
• Represent the company at agricultural trade shows, conferences, and customer events.

Sales Management

• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through implementation.
• Qualify opportunities and conduct product presentations.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and successfully close new business.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately document activities within the CRM.
• Coordinate implementation with internal teams and external partners.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future sales opportunities.

Relationship Management

• Build long-term relationships with customers and industry partners.
• Collaborate with distributors, service providers, and agricultural organizations to expand market presence.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and providing exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in outside sales, territory management, or business development.
• Experience selling into the agricultural industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dairy production or livestock operations is considered a strong asset.
• Demonstrated success managing a full sales cycle and consistently achieving sales goals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience using CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
