Overview
We are seeking a University Recruiter as an integral part of our University Relations & Recruiting Team. This position can be hybrid (remote and in-office) and based out of our Austin, Houston, or Dallas, TX office.
Your role
- Lead the day-to-day recruiting process for internship and entry-level roles within assigned region by partnering with internal staff to ensure a quality candidate experience. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, managing candidate information and applicant tracking metrics, facilitating offer letter production, and all other aspects of the candidate experience.
- Develop strong, trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders within the assigned area of responsibility, including hiring managers, senior leadership, and HR staff.
- Partner with University Liaisons at select colleges/universities to build and maintain relationships with university career centers and placement offices, related student organizations, and university faculty.
- Participate in various events (virtual & on-campus) such as career fair, presentations, and other student networking/informational events, including identifying and preparing for events.
- Seasonal travel is required based on event scheduling and participation. Although we try to minimize extended travel, assignments may necessitate travel greater than 40% of any given year.
- Research resources to find qualified applicants and candidates who meet specific needs and qualifications and identifies them for current or future talent needs.
- Seek ways to increase diversity in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure a proper handoff from recruitment to new hire onboarding, including maintenance of reporting on acceptances and start dates.
- Perform such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, plus one to three years of hands-on recruiting experience.
- Experience in the recruitment of professional-level personnel within the company or within a technically demanding volume-based environment required. AEC recruiting experience is preferred.
- Incumbent must have a passion for recruiting, strong perceptive abilities, and client service ethics, as well as ability to foster positive client relationships and satisfy recruiting needs. Job requires exceptional oral and written communication skills and solid people skills.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking System such as Workday and University Hiring Platforms such as Handshake and/or Symplicity Recruit is preferred.
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through abilities as well as a strong sense of urgency, discretion and confidentiality are indispensable in this position.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $70.000 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
