Rite-Hite is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, analysis, governance, and continuous improvement of variable compensation programs supporting the organization's sales and service teams. You will develop financial models, performs scenario and sensitivity analyses, and evaluate the financial impact of compensation strategies to support business planning, incentive plan design, and executive decision-making. By translating complex data into actionable insights, you will help optimize compensation investments while aligning incentive programs with organizational objectives.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Service, Finance, HR, IT, and Business Leadership, you will partner with stakeholders to forecast compensation expense, model plan changes, validate performance data, ensure accurate and timely incentive calculations, and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting. This role combines strategic financial analysis with operational execution to support a high-performing distribution organization.
This position is a hybrid role with 3 days a week out of our Milwaukee, WI Global Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Variable Compensation Administration
- Administer monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive compensation calculations for sales, service and administrative employees in the distribution organization.
- Validate performance metrics and compensation results prior to payout.
- Ensure compensation calculations comply with approved plan documents and governance standards.
- Coordinate compensation processing with Payroll and Finance.
- Maintain compensation calendars and meet established processing deadlines.
Data Management & Analysis
- Collect, cleanse, and validate performance data from CRM, ERP, service management, and financial systems.
- Analyze sales, revenue, margin, service, and operational performance against incentive plans.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reports to monitor compensation trends and business performance.
- Perform variance analyses to identify unexpected payout results or data discrepancies.
- Support forecasting of incentive expense and accruals.
Compensation Plan Support
- Assist in the design, modeling, and implementation of new incentive compensation plans or changes in KPIs
- Perform financial modeling to evaluate proposed plan changes.
- Analyze plan effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on business objectives and participant behavior.
- Document business rules and calculation methodologies.
Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted resource for Sales, Service, HR, and Finance regarding compensation questions.
- Research and resolve compensation disputes and participant inquiries.
- Communicate compensation results and explain calculations to stakeholders.
- Provide visibility to stakeholders through the development of dashboards and executive reporting.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate manual compensation processes In Tableau or other tools
- Improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and calculation efficiency.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure incentive programs comply with company policies and audit requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of compensation information.
- Support internal and external audits related to incentive compensation.
- Ensure proper documentation of compensation plans and approvals.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in sales compensation, financial analysis, sales operations, business analytics, or related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables
- Power Query
- Complex formulas
- Data validation
- Experience analyzing large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience supporting sales and/or field service compensation programs.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
- Basic SQL or data querying experience.
