Community events don't happen on their own—they come together because of a team that's ready to jump in wherever needed. As an Events Maintenance I team member, you'll help prepare event spaces, move equipment, assist with traffic control, and support activities throughout the event.   • Set up, take down, transport, and store tents, tables, chairs, barricades, stages, signs, and other equipment used for community events. 
  • Assist with event setup, traffic control, and day-of event activities to help events run safely and smoothly. 
  • Work alongside the Community Events Supervisor, event organizers, volunteers, and fellow team members to support successful community events. 
  • Maintain event equipment and storage areas so supplies are clean, organized, and ready for future events. 
  • Help create safe, welcoming event spaces by providing excellent customer service to attendees, volunteers, and community partners. 
  • Practice safe work habits while performing physically active work in a variety of outdoor environments. 
  • Complete other event-related duties as needed to support Community Events operations. 
 
You Have:  
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or the ability to obtain it after hire.  
  • Experience volunteering or working at community events preferred.

  • Communicate well and provide excellent customer service.  
  • Are dependable, safety-minded, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Physical & Working Conditions: 
This position is highly active and physically demanding. Team members should be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other inclement weather. Duties regularly require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, loading and unloading equipment, walking long distances, working on uneven terrain such as parks, trails, and construction surfaces, and performing repetitive bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, and other physical tasks. Employees must be able to safely operate vehicles and equipment, maintain situational awareness in active work zones, and work flexible schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during major community events.
