We are seeking a strategic marketing leader to establish and lead our Strategic Marketing & Planning function. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communication, this role will partner senior business leaders to translate business priorities into enterprise marketing strategies, differentiated customer value propositions and integrated go-to-market plans.

This is a highly visible leadership role that sits at the intersection of business strategy, customer insights and marketing transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of marketing strategies that support the bank’s long-term business priorities.

• Develop annual and multi-year marketing strategies.
• Translate business priorities into enterprise marketing plans.
• Drive strategic planning across the various businesses in GWB.
• Identify new growth opportunities and emerging customer trends.

Customer Value Proposition & Segment Strategy

Lead the development of differentiated customer propositions across priority business segments.

• Define customer value propositions.
• Develop segment marketing strategies.
• Shape go-to-market approaches for strategic initiatives.
• Partner business teams on strategic growth opportunities.
• Ensure consistent market positioning across customer segments.

Thought Leadership & Strategic Positioning

Build the bank’s thought leadership agenda and strengthen executive visibility.

• Develop thought leadership platforms.
• Shape executive narratives and strategic messaging.
• Partner on speeches, white papers and strategic publications.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen OCBC’s market positioning.

Customer & Market Insights

Translate customer, competitor and market intelligence into strategic recommendations.

• Synthesise customer insights and market research.
• Monitor competitive positioning and emerging trends.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
• Support business planning with evidence-based recommendations.

Marketing Planning & Portfolio Governance

Lead strategic planning and governance across the marketing function.

• Drive annual marketing planning.
• Prioritise marketing investments and initiatives.
• Monitor portfolio performance.
• Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Improve marketing planning disciplines and governance.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an enterprise marketing strategist who combines commercial thinking with strong business acumen.

The successful candidate will bring:

• 12–15 years of experience in marketing strategy, B2B marketing, consulting, commercial strategy or business transformation.
• Proven experience developing enterprise marketing strategies and customer value propositions.
• Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
• Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• The ability to balance long-term strategy with practical execution.
• Fluent in English and Chinese is a must
• Experience in banking, financial services or another complex B2B environment will be an advantage.
