Role Overview
Analyzes the business needs of Credit Risk clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems, contribute input to business solutions, and manage project implementations. Concentrates and thinks through end-to-end activities that create value for customers, while removing unnecessary non-value-added work. Help the organization improve the way in which it conducts its functions and activities in order to reduce overall costs, provide more efficient use of scarce resources, and better support customers. Consult with the customer on how to best support their area through the effective use of current technology. Liaise between the business side of an enterprise and the IT department or external service providers. Apply analytical skills to client business needs (which are often high-level or lacking in detail) and communicate these business wants/needs in a clear and unambiguous manner. Focuses primarily on Functional Requirements which describe what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirement(s). Bridges systems requirements from the end user to functional implementation of technical solutions. Creates requirements specifications (client, user, etc.), specifications of user or market needs; identification or synthesis of technology needed to meet a user or market need.
What you will do:
The Sr Business Analyst is responsible for driving mid-size projects, or component phases of larger programs. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure. The Sr Business Analyst exemplifies strong initiative and management skills. Ensures project methodologies, project delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed. This includes managing and driving the Project Requirements, Schedule, Risk and Issue Management, and Scope Change Management
The Sr. Business Analyst, along with the Project Manager will manage the project budget. This includes understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, and managing project resources effectively.
The Sr. Business Analyst provides clear and concise project communication; both written and verbal.
Facilitates/manages project communications and stakeholder, client and project team expectations. Collaborate on monthly planning and forecasting, Work with training team to create materials for impacted teams on the new solutions, Sign-off business requirements developed by Solutions team. Engage with Solutions team to get the project impact assessed and obtain HLE. Decide the path forward based on HLE and obtain business approvals. Triage business requests for product enhancements or new products
What you need to have:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
Proven problem-solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities - Ability to make difficult decisions based on the value to customers and overall business in a fast-paced, complex and at times stressful environment
Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving escalated items.
What would be great to have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, plus 6+ years progressive management experience, including management of major projects, in a large operating environment.
PMP preferred.
Clarity experience/knowledge a plus
Jira Board management, Jira ticket creation, scrum Master experience a plus, but not needed
Experience working with technical delivery teams
