Description
At CI&T, we help large enterprises transform the potential of AI into real business impact with AI Deployment, AI-native execution, and tech-integrated business solutions.
With 30 years of experience in technological transformation, we accelerate innovation with expertise in Agentic SDLC, Application modernization, Data & AI, Martech and Business strategy.
We are 8,000 CI&Ters across more than 25 countries, collaborating to build solutions with real impact. AI is already part of how we work, evolve, and innovate every day.
CI&T is a global technology consulting firm with a strong presence in Brazil, partnering with leading organizations to transform their data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. We are seeking a talented Data Developer to join our team and support critical data initiatives for a client in Brazil, working in a collaborative environment alongside internal teams and external vendors.
This role requires a hands-on developer with solid experience across the data lifecycle—from architecting and implementing scalable data platforms to building, testing, and maintaining production-grade pipelines. The ideal candidate will balance technical depth with autonomy, self-managing work priorities while contributing to knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development & Maintenance:
- Design, build, and test robust data pipelines that support data collection, transformation, and aggregation operations on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Python for data operations, ensuring reproducibility and version control across environments
- Support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing data pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption to downstream consumers
Data Platform Engineering:
- Implement and optimize data lake architectures using modern platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data management systems that meet both business and technical requirements
- Build and optimize data marts that enable data science analysis and support business intelligence tools
Quality & Governance:
- Participate actively in data validation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Implement and enforce non-functional requirements including performance optimization, security controls, privacy standards, and GDPR compliance
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data reliability, quality, and operational efficiency
Collaboration & Innovation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to align on technical requirements and delivery timelines
- Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures
- Develop standardized processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production across projects
Knowledge Sharing:
- Mentor and share technical knowledge with junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Document architectural decisions, pipeline designs, and operational procedures to enable team scalability
Requirements:
- Advanced English proficiency (both written and spoken) — mandatory for daily communication with international stakeholders
- Previous hands-on experience implementing data lake solutions from scratch using platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake
- Solid experience designing, building, and testing production-grade data pipelines in complex environments
- Strong proficiency in Python for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and data engineering tasks, including reading and writing data frames in multiple formats
- Practical experience with cloud platforms Azure (e.g., Azure Functions) and AWS
- Deep understanding of non-functional requirements: performance tuning, security, privacy, and GDPR compliance
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize work autonomously, and determine next steps without constant client direction
- Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical landscapes
Nice to Have:
- Experience with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting
- Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing frameworks for data pipelines
- Cloud certification (Azure or AWS)
- Experience with real-time data streaming technologies such as Kafka, EventHub, or Spark Streaming
- Comfort with multiple programming languages and data processing frameworks
- Previous experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with distributed stakeholders
