Description
What Pharmacy Operations and Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health:
Pharmacy Operations is responsible for in person and remote visits with Specialty GPO physician offices as needed for new onboards, changes in Pharmacy Management System technology or assist with training on Cardinal Health technology suite, specialty accreditation assessments, USP 800 assessment, Medically Integrated Dispensing program (MIDS) set up site visit, and onsite support for other various needs in connection with sales team. Quarterly and as needed biosimilar and other therapeutic class formulary support. Be able to perform practice assessments to support MIDS program or assist current MIDS customers with optimizing their program. Answer general pharmacy questions for internal and external customers. Keep up to date with new drug approvals and indications. Be willing to give presentations for advisory councils, annual customer meetings, or quarterly customer update calls. Comfortable with being Subject Matter Expert for processes and work flow in physician office the safe.
Pharmacy Operations and Account Management is responsible for long-term relationship building and managing the success of the relationships with customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health.
Qualifications
- PharmD required, BCOP certification preferred
- 5+ years oncology pharmacy experience; 10+ years preferred
- OncoEMR or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with value-based oncology models, biosimilars, and formulary management preferred
Responsibilities
- Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
- Build and maintain standardized oncology treatment plans within OncoEMR or equivalent platform
- Perform prospective review of Cycle 1 Day 1 (C1D1) treatment plans and make clinical recommendations.
- Identify dose adjustments, lab discrepancies, drug interactions, and supportive care needs.
- Lead oncology stewardship initiatives including dose rounding, and biosimilar utilization.
- Collaborate with the P&T Committee to support formulary alignment and financial optimization.
- Establish chemotherapy safety standards and order verification workflows across the network.
- Support practice onboarding, accreditation readiness, and clinical education initiatives.
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert and mentor for oncology teams.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
- Travel up to 25%
