Summary
The Assembly Operator assembles flexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications. The Operators solder and weld connectors to cables according to customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reads and interprets engineering documents
-
Follows work instructions to produce flexible and semi-rigid cables per customer requirements

Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues
-
Preps cables to prepare for assembly
-
Solders or welds connectors to cables
-
Measures and bends specialty cables to specific dimensions

Completes required documentation
Qualifications/Requirements
-
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
-
1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Experience manufacturing cable or cable assemblies, preferred
-
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
-
Ability to read micrometers and calipers
-
Ability to read, speak and understand English
-
Welding or soldering experience, preferred
-
Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals.

Ability to work with effectively with small hand tools and microscopes
