Description
The Spirit of the Position:
The Lot Attendant creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients. This Lot Attendant will greet the public in a manner consistent with the LAZ Way, serving as a representative displaying honesty, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Meet and greet airport patrons at Express Parking Lot, provide flight information, directions, and other airport services
- Communication: Liaise with dispatchers and supervisors to coordinate service for the traveling public
- Operational Support: Maintain orderly queuing of shuttle buses and facilitate parking according to SmartPark procedures
- Bus Rotation: Assist in timely bus rotation using organized customer parking techniques
- Driver Clearing: Ensure drivers are cleared only after all passengers have been picked up
- Information Updates: Keep patrons informed of service status and provide timely updates
- Reporting: Complete reports detailing the type of assistance provided
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain accurate space counts and keep parking rows organized
- Complete all required paperwork and reports accurately and efficiently.
- Be in correct LAZ uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled.
- Work with and without supervision and follow directions of supervisors when requests are made.
- Make sure the location is safe and take care of any potentially hazardous conditions
- Other related duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Strong customer service skills and abilities.
- Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization and outside customers and clientele.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
Skills:
- Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
- Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
- Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Sweeping and changing signage when needed.
