Description
Locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Indianapolis, Indiana / NICU Nurse Practitioner
Provide specialized neonatal care in a Level II NICU serving an underserved patient population in the Indianapolis area. This locum assignment offers a collaborative daytime team, independent overnight practice, and a broad procedural scope that allows experienced NNPs to practice at the top of their license.
Why This Assignment
- Dates: ASAP start following approximately 90-day credentialing
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 AM) - 14 shifts per month, including weekends
- Practice in a 16-bed Level II NICU
- Days working alongside the Neonatologist; nights practicing independently
- Attend deliveries, round on NICU patients, and manage neonatal care
- Perform advanced neonatal procedures including intubations, umbilical lines, PICC lines, thoracentesis, and chest procedures
- Epic EMR
- Travel: Paid travel and expenses
About You
- Be able to do the job as described.
- MSN or Master's degree required
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification (NNP-BC)
- Active Indiana Nurse Practitioner license or compact license
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience practicing independently in a NICU and performing advanced neonatal procedures
