Hero Calling | Management Accountant | (Temp to Perm)

Calling all heroes (immediately available accountants), we are recruiting on behalf of a well-established ASX-listed engineering and construction business seeking a technically strong Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working across financial reporting, project accounting and business partnering within a fast-paced operational environment.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role supporting the finance function across multiple operating entities. This is a broad, hands-on position with exposure to month-end reporting, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting and continuous process improvement within a growing project-based business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete month-end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and weekly cash flow reporting.
• Support project accounting, WIP reporting and cost analysis.
• Assist with BAS preparation and external audit requirements.
• Work closely with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.

Short but Sweet:

We're seeking a hands-on finance professional with:

• CPA or CA qualification (qualified only)
• Experience in Financial Accounting or Management Accounting.
• Strong month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• BAS and GST experience.
• Experience within engineering, construction, mining services, manufacturing or another project-based environment highly regarded.
• Strong Excel skills and exposure to large ERP systems
