Description

A leading organisation is seeking an accomplished Dedicated Cluster Executive to join its Executive Committee. This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of high-profile client accounts, driving commercial growth, leading senior executives, and influencing business strategy at the highest level. The successful candidate will be recognised as a potential successor to the CEO, making this a rare opportunity for an executive with proven leadership capability and long-term vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the strategic direction of a complex, multi-client commercial portfolio.
  • Take full accountability for multi-billion Rand P&L performance, revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major FMCG brands, retailers, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior executives responsible for large business units.
  • Drive client-centric strategies while ensuring collaboration across commercial, operational, and business development functions.
  • Champion innovation, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making to enhance business performance.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to support long-term organisational growth and succession planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8–10 years' executive leadership experience within a large corporate environment.
  • Extensive experience leading large commercial portfolios with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong background within FMCG, retail, manufacturing, sales, commercial, or business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and influencing senior executives and executive leadership teams.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and complex negotiations.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, clients, and boards.
  • Strong strategic thinking, resilience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead through change.
  • Experience leveraging digital platforms, analytics, and technology to improve commercial outcomes will be advantageous.
