About the location:

Your own private paradise on a lush coral island. On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. We’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. Our rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.

1. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times and adhere to established standards of conduct, house rules, fire regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.

2. Dress in issued uniform and ensure a neat, clean and tidy appearance at all times.

3. Report to work on time, aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notifies the Supervisor in adequate time as stated in Employee Handbook.

4. Operate the spotting table to produce a high quality of cleaning in accordance with Four Seasons standards.

5. Operate washers (washed and extracted) and dryers to produce high quality cleaning in accordance with Four Seasons standards.

6. Operate correctly and properly, the flatwork ironers, sheet and towel folders and other miscellaneous equipment.

7. Accurately sort, check, and mark guest laundry, and staff uniforms.

8. Ensure all guests’ items are processed and presented as per established procedures and Four Seasons standards.

9. Ensure guest laundry is processed, delivered, and returned within established turnaround times and Four Seasons standards.

10. Ensure all staff uniforms and management personal clothing items are processed as per established procedures and Four Seasons standards.

11. Accurately sort, check, process and bundle Rooms, Spa and F&B Linen accordingly and timely to meet operational needs.

12. Ensure all F&B / Spa / Rooms linen is always processed as per established procedures and core standards.

13. Report any valuables/items found in guests/staff laundry to Laundry Supervisor and Security

14. Issue uniforms to staff on a clean for soiled exchange and ensure proper records of the issuing daily.

15. Conduct quality checks on uniforms daily to ensure good condition before issuing them to staff.

16. Report any damaged or worn-out uniforms to the Laundry Supervisor / Manager and Tailor for repair or replacement.

17. Able to drive the Housekeeping Buggy according to procedures and always in compliance with safety regulations

18. Maintain a good knowledge of resort facilities, services, and general information to assist guests when required.

19. Inform the Supervisor of any unusual events and communicate any special instructions during handover.

20. Maintain good communication with other departments.

21. Report any damages or repairs and maintenance needs to Laundry Supervisor

22. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

23. Assist with linen and uniform inventory counts as required.

24. Ensure cleanliness standard in work areas daily.

25. Follow all chemical handling, health, safety, and environmental procedures when operating laundry equipment and using cleaning products.

26. Minimize linen and chemical waste by following established laundry procedures and sustainability initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities and Task

1. Achieve minimum average of 85% and above in the daily core standards tests.

2. Proficient with Mathematics to carry out counting and inventory checks.

Physical Job Requirements

1. Lifting/ Pushing/ Pulling/ Carrying- Pushes or pulls a cart weighing up to 350 pounds for up to 40 feet in one trip. Lifts wet linen weighing up to 20 pounds and shakes it out.

2. Bending / Kneeling to pick up wet linen.
