Monday through Friday

7am - 1pm

Administer the Lineage Safety Program to ensure a safe, controlled, and risk-free environment while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Promote a safety culture with the goal of achieving an incident-free work environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily Safety Activities
  • Conduct pre-shift safety meeting with Supervisor.
  • Collect both Supervisor Daily Pre-Shift Checklists.
  • Collect Daily Yard Checks.
  • Collect Daily BBSO forms from Supervisors.
  • Update and review Safety Boards daily.
  • Verify safety communications and postings are current.

Safety Walks & Site Inspections

  • Conduct site safety walks twice daily.
  • Conduct bi-weekly safety walks in the warehouse.
  • Follow up on identified hazards and corrective actions.

Training & Compliance

  • Review SIS Box folder weekly:
    • Check upcoming training requirements.
    • Verify completion status.
  • Conduct SIS training when needed.
  • Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation as needed.
  • Support safety training requirements and documentation.

Equipment & Documentation Compliance

  • Verify Pre-Shift MHE Inspections are completed daily and signed by Supervisors.
  • Verify Master Sanitation Sheets are completed daily:
  • Maintain compliance records and ensure documents are properly filed.

Team Support & Communication

  • Coordinate with Operations and General Manager for assistance as needed.
  • Communicate safety concerns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support site safety initiatives and compliance goals.

Additional Expectations

  • Promote a strong safety culture through coaching and engagement.
  • Ensure all required safety documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Escalate any safety concerns, missing documentation, or compliance gaps to leadership.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years’ related experience in safety compliance roles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of country’s safety regulations/standards, governing bodies, and employer obligations for work-related injuries
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit in cold storage sites or up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear  
  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
