[POSITION SUMMARY]
We are seeking a Senior Risk Engineer to drive the comprehensive risk strategy for our premier offshore wind projects from early development through to handover. Utilizing OPC and Primavera P6, you will seamlessly integrate cost, schedule, and risk to provide data-driven, strategic insights to project leadership. [KEY RESPONSIBILITIES]
Risk Framework & Strategy
Develop, implement, and own the Project Risk Management Plan tailored to the specific phases of offshore wind delivery (Development, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, and Commissioning).
Facilitate dynamic risk and opportunity workshops across all project packages (WTG, Foundations, Array/Export Cables, Offshore/Onshore Substations, and Marine Logistics).
Maintain and mature the central Project Risk Register utilizing Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), ensuring it serves as a live, single source of truth for the project team.
Quantitative Analysis & Integration (OPC & P6)
Perform robust Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) using OPC, running Monte Carlo simulations to determine p-values (P50, P80, P90) and contingency reserves.
Seamlessly interface with Lead Planners to map risks directly to Primavera P6 schedules. Ensure schedules logically support risk modelling, particularly concerning critical path analysis and offshore execution constraints.
Model complex, industry-specific risks within OPC, including Weather Downtime (WDT), vessel availability constraints, port logistics bottlenecks, and complex WTG/Foundation interface clashes.
Mitigation & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Package Managers, Engineering Leads, and Marine Coordinators to develop and track practical, cost-effective risk mitigation actions.
Evaluate the commercial viability of mitigation strategies (Cost-Benefit Analysis) and ensure they are embedded into the P6 baseline schedule and project budget.
Assess contractor and supply chain risk profiles during the tender evaluation phase, ensuring risk allocation aligns with FID requirements.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Design and deliver intuitive risk dashboards via OPC and BI tools for Project Directors, Joint Venture partners, and Steering Committees, translating complex probabilistic data into clear commercial narratives.
Conduct "Lessons Learned" reviews post-installation campaigns to update historical risk data and improve future OPC probability models.
[QUALIFICATIONS]
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management, or a highly analytical field. (MBA, PMP, or PMI-RMP is a plus)
Experience: 7+ years of project risk management experience, with 3-5 years specifically in Offshore Wind or major Offshore Oil & Gas EPCI projects.
Project Lifecycle: Proven track record of supporting mega-projects through FID and offshore execution phases.
Technical Skills & Tools
Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC): Expert-level proficiency in the OPC Risk Management module (building models, running Monte Carlo simulations, and generating outputs).
Primavera P6: Strong working knowledge to navigate, validate, and troubleshoot P6 schedules for QSRA.
Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of offshore wind risk profiles (marine warranty surveyor constraints, heavy lift vessels, weather window modelling) and standard risk frameworks (ISO 31000, PMI-RM, PMBOK).
Soft Skills & Languages
Facilitation & Communication: Exceptional workshop facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders and translate complex statistical data into commercial narratives.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in Korean is highly advantageous.
