Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble aircraft sheet metal and composite structural components.
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
- Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
- Read and work from engineering drawings and production specifications.
- 5+ years of heavy aviation structures sheet metal mechanic experience.
- Demonstrate skill level by successfully passing plate test.
- Ability to pass skills assessments – verbal, virtual and hands on.
- Experienced structural assembly, preferably on Boeing and Gulfstream products.
- Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to wear a respirator and other safety gear.
- Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
- Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Available to work 1st and/or 2nd shift after training and as required.
- Available to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends.
