Description
Our client, a leading company in the automotive industry, is looking for a Vehicle Technical Project Engineer to join its team. This professional will be responsible for the technical follow-up of the vehicle throughout the development, industrialization, and launch phases, ensuring effective coordination between cross-functional teams and suppliers while guaranteeing project milestones and technical objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical follow-up of the vehicle throughout the development, industrialization, and launch phases.
- Coordinate technical activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Suppliers.
- Monitor suppliers during resourcing, industrialization, and engineering change implementation activities.
- Lead regular follow-up meetings with suppliers to ensure action plans are executed on time.
- Provide technical support during industrialization and vehicle launch activities.
- Manage product configuration activities, including Launch Windows, part coding, NFC configuration, and other product-related technical processes.
- Monitor parts availability and technical maturity to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Support vehicle launch activities and technical validation in the manufacturing environment.
- Identify technical risks, define mitigation plans, and monitor their implementation.
- Participate in national and international business trips to support industrialization and vehicle launch activities.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical roles within the automotive industry, preferably in vehicle development, industrialization, or project management.
- Solid understanding of vehicle development and industrialization processes.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Knowledge of product configuration management processes is considered an advantage.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, autonomous, and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Availability for national and international travel.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in an OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment.
- Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Engineering Change Management, and vehicle launch processes.
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
- French language skills are considered a plus.
