Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to belong. BGCLC is looking for energetic, fun-loving, adaptable, youth-focused individuals to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and after school experience. This individual will travel to our different Club locations across Larimer County to substitute or assist as needed (This role is not assigned to a regular location).

As a Child Care Group Leader, you will:

  • Assist in implementing and leading a variety of fun and memorable after school programs in areas such as academic enrichment, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles
  • Help ensure safety of our Club members.
  • Act as a mentor/role model for school aged youth.

You'll succeed in this role if you are someone who:

The pay rate for this variable hour, part time, non-exempt position is $18.00/hour-$19.00/hour
The hours for this position are as follows:
Before School Hours:Wednesday 7:00 am - 9:00am
After School Hours:Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Must have at least three 3 months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four 4 or more children over the ages of four 4 (not related to the individual) or a current early childhood professional credential level I one (1) or higher.
  • Prior experience working in an after-school setting is highly preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is highly preferred.
  • CPR certification highly preferred.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behaviors.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a criminal/driving records investigation and reference checks.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is chaotic and loud.
