Tell me more about this role, what would I be doing?

Summary:

The Default Supervisor is responsible for training, preparing, and developing all new Default Specialists/Foreclosure Specialists and assisting with questions regarding procedures and/or job aids. Default Supervisor will review monthly production and Quality review reports to include inflow/outflow of work in progress to ensure employees understand and comply with all objectives, performance standards, and policies.

Essential Duties and Functions Include the following.

  • Learn and become familiar with current servicing systems including the BKFS platform for servicing critical dates
  • Responsible for supervising the daily workflow of the Default/Bankruptcy team ensuring the all work is completed with established deadlines
  • Work collaboratively with team members, partnering business units and management to contribute to department goals and maintain service level objectives in productivity and quality
  • Inspire and motivate teamwork for achieving goals
  • Knowledge in HUD reverse mortgage maturity events is a must and general knowledge of Reverse Mortgage servicing. 
  • Maintain an impeccable attendance record
  • Escalate red flags promptly and with the appropriate sense of urgency
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of customer/client information and interactions
  • Adhere to all established company policies and procedures
  • Monitor team email boxes
  • Review timelines to ensure completion turn-times are as expected
  • Update and maintain procedures and job aids as needed
  • Adhere to a set schedule. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and resourcefulness.

Preferred:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in mortgage servicing or similar quality-driven customer service environment
  • Minimum one-year supervising experience preferred
  • Familiarity with HUD reverse mortgage maturity timelines and Consumer Privacy Laws

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:

  • Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day
  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day
  • Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
  • Sedentary position. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
  • Workers are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Lifting and/or carrying (<10 lbs.)
  • Manipulate small and/or large bulky objects.
  • Standing, reaching, kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling may be required.

Pay Ranges:

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more.  We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.
