Job Summary
Supports and collaborates with the sales team by preparing, validating, and finalizing sales quotations with a strong focus on product selection, technical compliance, and commercial accuracy. Ensures that the final quoted solution is optimized, competitive, and aligned with customer specifications, project requirements, and company policies. Acts as a subject matter expert within the quotation process, driving quality, consistency, and capability development across the team.

Purpose: Offer to our customers the best professional service in quotations by ensuring accurate product selection, technically compliant and competitive solutions, and efficient execution of the quotation process while enhancing overall team capability.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Prepares and reviews sales quotes based on customer requests, ensuring accuracy in product selection, specifications, and pricing.

  • Takes full ownership of final product selection decisions in quotations, ensuring the most suitable, compliant, and competitive solution is offered.

  • Interprets customer specifications, BOQs, drawings, and tender documents and translates them into optimized product configurations.

  • Performs cross-specification and product substitution, positioning company products against competitor specifications by identifying equivalent or superior alternatives while maintaining compliance with project requirements.

  • Applies strong knowledge of lighting products, systems, and application requirements to evaluate customer needs, including performance, energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensures all product selections meet relevant standards, norms, and technical requirements and align with project objectives.

  • Coordinates with sales, product management, and other stakeholders to gather technical and commercial inputs required for quotation preparation.

  • Ensures all quotations comply with pricing policies, discount structures, and commercial guidelines, validating margins and profitability.

  • Supports development and validation of Deal/Special Price Agreements/Promotions/Project Quotes, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

  • Provides technical and commercial recommendations to sales teams, including value engineering options and optimized configurations to improve competitiveness.

  • Supports tender and project quotation processes by validating technical solutions, ensuring complete documentation, and aligning with customer and legal requirements.

  • Maintains quotation tracking systems and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.

  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing to maintain accurate pricing structures, customer conditions, and contract alignment.

  • Prepares reports and commercial analyses related to quotation performance to support sales effectiveness.

  • Ensures effective communication with stakeholders on quote status, timelines, and technical/commercial clarifications.

  • Drives continuous improvement in quotation processes to enhance speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.

  • Acts as a technical reference for complex quotations, supporting resolution of product, specification, and pricing challenges.

  • Trains and coaches team members on product selection, specification interpretation, and quotation best practices, enabling independent handling of quotations within defined timelines.

  • Promotes structured knowledge sharing and standardization of product selection approaches across the team.

Critical Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales support, quotation management, specification support, or technical sales roles with strong exposure to product selection.

  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting specifications, cross-specifying products, and developing compliant technical solutions.

  • Proven experience handling complex quotations, tenders, and customized project requirements.

  • Strong understanding of lighting systems, applications, and commercial proposal development.
