Description
Beloit Health System is looking to add an Athletic Trainer to our Team!
- Sign-On Bonus: Eligible
- Shift: Varies with Sports Events
- Schedule: Varies (Work hours between 7a - 10p)
- Hours per week: 40

- Department: Lee Lane Sports Medicine Center
The Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and education services to athletes at local schools and other active individuals.
- Evaluate athletic injuries and develop appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Provide immediate care and emergency response for athletic injuries and medical emergencies.
- Assist with injury prevention programs, conditioning activities, and wellness initiatives.
- Apply therapeutic modalities, taping, bracing, and other treatment techniques within scope of practice.
- Monitor patient progress and collaborate with physicians and rehabilitation staff regarding treatment plans.
- Coordinate referrals to physicians, specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Educate athletes, patients, coaches, parents, and community members on injury prevention, treatment, and performance enhancement.
- Provide athletic training coverage for assigned schools, athletic events, practices, and community activities.
- Participate in outreach programs and represent the health system in a professional manner.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and professional practice standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or higher degree equivalent.
- Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an Athletic Trainer.
- Current Wisconsin Athletic Trainer licensure
- CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong clinical assessment and injury evaluation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions in fast-paced and emergency situations.
