Location - Barrow-in-Furness (3 Days in office per week)
Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager – Power and Propulsion Systems Integration Group in Barrow.
What you will be doing
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to lead the Primary area of the Power & Propulsion System Integration Group as part of the Joint Reactor Team.
The role covers the full breadth of build, test & commissioning for Dreadnought Power & Propulsion systems and provides a unique opportunity to develop business breadth across the submarine enterprise.
We’re looking for someone who with a strong nuclear, technical background with experience of resolving engineering issues and cross organisational problems. Someone who is passionate and experienced in building and managing high-performing teams that people love to work in, and someone who will relish the challenge of taking the lead in a key role in delivery of the Dreadnought programme.
What you will be doing
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Leading the enablement of key events across the Power & Propulsion scope including build and commissioning activities.
- Resolution of cross functional and cross organisational issues and clashes.
- Enablement of key event scopes across all areas including engineering, supply chain, operations, test & commissioning & planning.
- Delivery oversight and accountability for risk mitigation projects to protect the Dreadnought schedule.
- Delivery of enablement and projects using appropriate management methodologies, while providing visibility of work in progress, benefits expected and other key metrics.
- Effective collaboration with the key stakeholders across submarine enterprise to ensure enablement and project delivery.
- Manage the P&P SIG risk mitigation budget, ensuring consistent delivery and schedule improvement returns on investment.
- Coach and maintain a high-performing, cross-functional team for both enablement and project delivery.
- Primary escalation point for the teams, resolving issues and working to continuously improve delivery, driving for consistent, predictable, high-quality deliverables.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a minimum of an Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
