You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, post orders, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, perimeters, access points, parking areas, and other designated locations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures and coordinating with onsite personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining awareness of conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
