Role Profile
The Assistant Manager, Equities Operations will support the effective day-to-day management of Admissions activity across the LSE markets. The role will provide operational oversight across admission applications, instrument and issuer reference data, regulatory and market updates, and related stakeholder queries.
The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of day-to-day delivery, support the development of team capability, ensure strong control standards are maintained, and act as an escalation point for operational issues. The role will also support process improvement, system change and future-state operating model initiatives, working closely with colleagues across Admissions, Market Operations, Technology, Compliance, Product and other key stakeholder groups.
Although the primary focus of the role will be Admissions, the role may also involve coordination, oversight or support for other Manila-based operational colleagues, depending on the final team structure and agreed operating model.
Team Description
The Equities Operations team is responsible for maintaining trading services and reference data across LSE, Turquoise and associated venues. This includes daily updates to internal and customer-facing systems, admissions processing, corporate actions handling, and the execution of both scheduled and ad-hoc operational changes. The team works closely with internal stakeholders and external market participants to ensure services are delivered accurately, consistently and in line with required market deadlines.
The team works on a shift basis with the current service hours between 07:00 and 18:00 UK time.
Department Description
DSM Operations covers Market Operations Services and Client Technology Services. Market Operations Services provides a centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services and reference data across LSE and Turquoise venues. The department acts as a first point of contact for customers, including issuers and member firms requiring immediate or planned actions. It supports the admission of securities to trading, manages the impact of corporate actions and regulatory change on reference data, and coordinates communication with key organisations including EUI, CCPs, UKLA and regulators.

- Liaise with issuers, advisers, NOMADs and other market participants to facilitate the efficient progression of applications and resolution of queries.
- Ensure Admissions activity is supported by appropriate controls, governance and documentation, escalating exceptions and risks where required.

Team Leadership & Management
- Support the day-to-day management of the Manila-based Admissions team, with oversight across Corporate Actions and Control teams, ensuring work is prioritised effectively and delivered to a high standard.
- Coach and develop team members, building capability, resilience and subject matter expertise.
- Support resource planning, workload management and knowledge sharing to ensure effective team coverage.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Depending on the final operating model, the role may also include people management responsibilities for Manila-based colleagues outside of Admissions, focused on coaching, development and performance management rather than day-to-day operational oversight.
Controls, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a strong controls environment, ensuring procedures are followed and risks are identified and managed appropriately.
- Drive process improvements, automation opportunities and efficiency initiatives across the Admissions function.
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve service quality and reduce repeat occurrences.
