Job Purpose
NIGHT SHIFT D
7PM-7AM
Oversee teams, processes and resources throughout the shift to achieve production goals, enhance employee development, and improve production line efficiency, while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
Duties and Tasks
(To be performed in full alignment with CANPACK Core Values: Respect, Safety, Teamwork, Integrity, Quality, and Innovation)
Supervise team operations, assign tasks, manage absences, oversee activities, and track performance to ensure efficient task completion. Supervise production line operations, monitor equipment, quality and efficiency, and ensure adherence to standards and schedules while achieving production goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) during the assigned shift to ensure achievement of shift-level output, quality, and delivery targets. Coordinate and support employees’ training strategies, assess skill levels, and ensure they possess and apply the required capabilities to meet operational standards. Ensure continuous monitoring of manufactured product quality, adherence to quality standards, and prompt initiation of corrective actions in cases of deviations or non-conformities. Identify and resolve production issues, support continuous improvement efforts, and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and product quality. Conduct performance reviews to assess individual contributions, provide feedback, and support employee development. Promote a high-performance culture and support the professional growth of team members through coaching and skills building, aligned with company’s training curricula and strategies. Contribute to short- and medium-term operational planning by providing input based on shift-level performance, resource availability, and production challenges. Coordinate shift handovers and personnel scheduling to ensure operational continuity and efficiency, including managing holidays, overtime, and collaboration with production and support teams. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Maintain the area in accordance with 5S standards and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, in line with the scope of the position and employment agreement.

Work Experience

- Vocational or associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Independence / Supervision Level

- Regular communication with team members, other supervisors, and departments to ensure alignment and support continuous improvement.

- May communicate with external service providers, auditors, or inspectors during visits, audits, or compliance checks.
Decisions Impacted by This Position
- Taking immediate action in case of accidents by halting operations and ensuring proper medical response.
- Stopping machines in case of product nonconformity, accidents, or quality and food safety risks, making necessary adjustments to restore compliance with standards.
- Assigning tasks during breakdowns or production changes, adjusting work schedules, verifying operator overtime, and initiating disciplinary actions or performance-based recommendations, including training needs or dismissal proposals.
- Making on-the-spot decisions to protect product integrity, including issuing direct orders to safeguard quality and food safety.
- The employee may be required to make additional decisions as directed by the Company and/or in consideration of operational, quality and safety requirements.
