Transaction Managers bring deep proficiency in data and systems management, a strong understanding of sales operations practices, and working knowledge of Ratings products — enabling effective support for the commercial organization throughout the transaction lifecycle. The team acts as a key link between Sales and internal stakeholders, ensuring Ratings-related transactions are executed accurately, efficiently, and in line with applicable policies, pricing guidance, and operational controls.

The Impact and Responsibilities

This role is instrumental in managing the full lifecycle of Ratings-related transactions through the onboarding, engagement, and billing processes for the Americas Commercial team. By ensuring transaction details are accurately captured, reviewed, and progressed through the appropriate systems and workflows, this role helps drive revenue realization, operational excellence, and a strong client experience. The role requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving issues, escalating risks, and supporting process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support sales implementation processes, including order execution, accurate billing, and system entry to support revenue realization.

  • Support reporting and identify relevant customer developments or trends to inform future commercial offerings.

  • Collaborate with Sales and other Transaction Managers to manage the sales pipeline and resolve transactional customer queries effectively.

  • Act as a bridge between Sales and key internal stakeholders, collaborating across functions to ensure timely and accurate transaction execution.

  • Use data, systems, and reporting tools to identify issues, track progress, support decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement across transaction management processes.

  • Maintain a current understanding of relevant regulations, company policies, pricing strategies, and approval guidelines to support internal and external clients.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly with clients, Sales colleagues, and cross-functional stakeholders across locations.

  • Collaborative working style, with a proven ability to build productive working relationships and act as a reliable liaison between Sales and internal teams.

  • Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions to support accurate transaction tracking, reporting, and issue resolution.

  • Portuguese: Required — Fluent (able to conduct meetings, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally).

  • Language: English: Required — Fluent | Spanish: Preferred — Professional working proficiency

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Experience working with billing, order management, client onboarding, sales fulfillment, or CRM-based workflows in a financial services or professional services environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and apply sound judgment when escalating risks or resolving transaction-related issues.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. We welcome candidates from traditional finance disciplines as well as diverse academic backgrounds that support innovative and critical thinking.

Additional Information

  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
