We are seeking a detail-oriented Cardiac Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our patient care team. In this role, you will continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for patients on telemetry, promptly identify and communicate rhythm changes, and support clinical staff in providing safe, high-quality patient care.The ideal candidate will have strong ECG interpretation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety.
This role will perform monitor technician duties and unit secretarial clerical duties while acting as a communication center for the nursing unit

Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms.
Recognize and promptly report significant rhythm changes and life-threatening arrhythmias to the appropriate clinical staff.
Maintain accurate documentation of cardiac rhythms and events.
Ensure telemetry equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all regulatory and organizational standards.
Assist with admitting, transferring, and discontinuing telemetry monitoring as appropriate.
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1 year monitor technician experience preferred.
Specialized, short-term training in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation with special emphasis on detection of life-threatening dysrhythmias preferred.
1 year experience as a unit secretary preferred.
Take and pass Basic Arrhythmia Class within orientation period.
Take and pass Basic Arrhythmia Test annually.
BLS required
Complete initial and annual competencies for cardiac device interrogations.
Take and pass initial and annual competencies for Philips equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
