Medical Lead Hematology Germany

As our Medical Lead Hematology Germany, you will have a deep understanding of the relevant therapeutic indications and our clinical trial data. As a medical and scientific expert, you will be significantly contributing to the success of the existing portfolio and the launches ahead of us within a cross-functional team. You will work closely with key external stakeholders and have a direct reporting line to the Medical Director Germany.

Responsibilities

• Leads advocacy activities in the Hematology area to support the brands’ appropriate adoption.
• Leads scientific messaging dissemination developing a compelling communication for each brand in line with the company's brand strategy.
• Leads, develops and manages the local Hematology MSL team and the Hematology Medical Advisors.
• Works closely with the Medical Director to further establish a medical footprint for Menarini-STEMLINE particularly in Germany.
• Establishes, develops, and manages collaborative relationships with key medical experts and opinion leaders in Germany related to any current and future hematology disease areas relevant for the company.
• Where appropriate or relevant, gives strategic guidance, drives and is hands-on, in the structured tactical execution of all local medical activities, in close collaboration with Global and EMEA Medical Affairs.
• Leads, coordinates and pro-actively contributes to all pre-launch/pre-reimbursement activities for all hematology compounds and indications.
• Locally facilitates any patient access programs to address high unmet medical needs.
• Provides medical expertise in all regulatory and reimbursement approval processes within Germany.
• Partners with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations to identify and work with local opinion leaders, trial sites, investigators and clinical experts that support the development of the company’s new compounds and indications.
• Ensures adequate internal management and support of unsolicited Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) Proposals and ongoing ISR projects.
• Ensures all activities required by pharmacovigilance and risk management are planned, set-up and pursued in accordance to the respective local and EU laws.
• Ensures legal excellence and compliance in all medical activities as per M/S SOPs and local regulations and codices.

Qualifications

• High experience and proven track record in medical affairs around hematology with established network to key experts within German speaking countries.
• Previous leadership experience, specifically in leading growing medical affairs teams, would be an upside.
• Previous experience of product launches in oncology.
• Preferably with a doctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience required.
• Self- starter with personal drive and purpose.
• High willingness to travel.
• Passion about strategic launch planning and execution as well as track record in developing and executing successful (pre-)launch initiatives.
• Proven basic science and/or clinical background to enable engagement of internal and external stakeholders in a scientifically meaningful exchange.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, to anticipate and adapt to change.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to engage in collaborative decision making.
• Fluent in German and English.
