Position: Manufacturing Shop Manager 
Location:   Cameron Park, CA
Status:   Full Time
Hours:   Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

About the role

Snowline is a precision CNC machining company serving aerospace, defense, and high-reliability customers. We’ve grown from 45 to 115 people in two years, across two buildings and 37 machines.

The Shop Manager owns daily production flow: what runs, in what order, on which machine, with which people. This is a floor job, not a desk job. You will be the person who knows where every job stands without looking it up.

What you’ll own

1. Daily job sequencing and machine loading across VMC, HMC, multi-axis, and lathe departments
2. Shift-to-shift handoff between days and the Mon–Thu night shift
3. Labor allocation and cross-training coverage against the schedule
4. WIP status and bottleneck escalation — surfacing problems before due dates move, not after
5. Direct supervision of shop supervisors and leads; first-line attendance and performance management
6. Job data quality in our ERP (JobBoss²): routers, work center assignments, time capture

What you won’t own

Quality system ownership, NCR disposition, and compliance audit response sit with our quality organization. You’ll work with them daily and you’re accountable for adherence on your floor — but this role is scoped to production flow, deliberately, so the person in it can stay on the floor.

What we’re looking for

1. 5+ years supervising or managing a CNC machining floor; aerospace, defense, or medical preferred
2. Fluent in shop-floor reality: setup vs. run time, fixturing constraints, tool availability, how a schedule breaks
3. Direct experience with ERP/MRP production data — JobBoss, E2, Epicor, or equivalent
4. Able to read prints and GD&T well enough to challenge a routing, not necessarily to program
5. Track record building people, not just assigning them. We promote from within and we want a manager who makes that possible.
6. AS9100 environment experience is a strong plus

1. U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62). This position requires access to export-controlled technical data.
