RFX SpecialistJob Description
RfX Specialist | Pune | Full-time
Vanderlande is seeking a proactive Global RfX Specialist to enhance our procurement excellence through robust RfX processes. As part of the global Procurement Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will play a pivotal role in supporting our category managers and demand managers worldwide. Your expertise will streamline RfX operations, strengthen supplier communication, and drive process improvements.
Our global procurement organization enables our projects and business functions by maximizing value and minimizing risks through the smart, cost effective, and sustainable procurement of goods and services. We ensure a resilient and competitive supplier ecosystem, supporting our transition towards best-in-class procurement practices and a more efficient, effective, and future proof organization.
Furthermore, procurement plays an important role in Vanderlande’s transformation from an Engineer to Order (ETO) to a Configure to Order (CTO) business model—enhancing customer value through increased standardization, scalability, and competitiveness.
What you will do
As a Global RfX Specialist, you will support all RfX related activities, ensuring the timely and smooth execution of proposals and quotations. You will coordinate submission timelines, assist in evaluating supplier responses, and collaborate closely with cross functional business functions. You will follow established RfX processes while contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement practices across the organization.
What you bring
Responsibilities
Support category managers and demand managers worldwide in executing RfX processes (including spot buys and light tenders), including drafting RfX documents and assisting with initial proposal and quotation analysis.
Coordinate and communicate submission timelines with suppliers, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
Consolidate supplier responses into clear, structured formats to support evaluations and decision making.
Execute all RfX activities in compliance with procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Identify opportunities for improving RfX processes and support the implementation of best practices across the Procurement CoE.
What do we ask from you?
To be successful in this role, you should have:
4-7 years of proven progressive experience in procurement processes and sourcing strategies, ideally with hands on involvement in RfX activities such as drafting documents, evaluating proposals, and supporting supplier selection.
Experience in project-based procurement environments (e.g., engineering, automation, intralogistics, material handling, or system integration), with the ability to work effectively when requirements evolve or clarity is limited.
Strong ability to analyze supplier responses, identify key performance indicators, and support strategic procurement decisions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple RfX tasks simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation.
Demonstrated capability to identify and support process improvements, ideally within RfX or procurement operations.
Stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively with cross functional global teams such as engineering, project management, category management, finance, and planning.
Comfort working in ambiguous, low SOP environments, bringing structure, clarity, and proactive follow up when information is incomplete.
Exposure to global, multicultural environments, with the ability to work across regions, cultures, and time zones.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders worldwide.
