We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Designer at SSOE, you will collaborate with fellow designers, engineering teams, and Project Managers to develop innovative solutions for intricate and challenging designs, incorporating the latest design methodologies while ensuring adherence to specifications and timely project completion.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Support global engineering and project management teams as structural designers on selected projects.
  • Develop complete structural drawing package from design start to IFC.
  • Model and draft complex steel and concrete structures including AutoCAD 2D. elements and Revit 3D models following standard practices for construction documents.
  • Collect information from all available sources to prepare accurate and complete 3D models and drawings.
  • Analyzes sketches, notes, and other input materials to determine and plan the best approach to prepare drawings. Verify dimension correctness and/or identify any interference between various elements.
  • Provide technical support including teaching methods and procedures to less experienced Designers.
  • May be required to visit the project site to verify existing field conditions and provide on-site support.
  • May travel to other SSOE facilities for coordination purposes and/or provide training.

Work timings:

8 hours (8am to 12noon and 8.00 pm to 12 midnight to overlap with USA teams).

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

  • Fulltime Diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 12 to 15 years’ experience as a Designer in modeling and drafting steel and concrete structures of significant complexity utilizing both AutoCAD and Revit Structure software.
  • Must be proficient in both BIM Revit structure, and AutoCAD. Able to set up Revit templates and work independently on Revit modeling on LOD300 to LOD400 level.
  • Expertise in Dynamo scripts or automation in Revit structure is preferred.
  • Skilled in Revit family creation, sheet setup, and overall model management.
  • Fast at learning new design concepts, Critical thinking, highly organized and detail oriented when executing multiple projects with various milestones.
  • Strong english communication skills to directly coordinate with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, architectural teams in fast-paced design collaboration.
  • Must be flexible to work in the evening hours to maintain communication with the USA teams.
  • Work experience from high technology, battery manufacturing, or semiconductor market is preferred.
