Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Specialist in SAN JOSE, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, tenants, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and follow established sign-in, escort, and access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
