Specific Skills

·  Degree & PY/CPA
·  May supervise staff
·  Excellent knowledge of accounting systems
·  Analyses business areas to identify improvements to processes systems & procedures

·  Have > 5 years experience of foreign bank and foreign security company in Japan

·   Fluent Japanese & English language skill
·   Passed examination of 1st grade JSDA sales person

Communication / Interpersonal
·  Effective verbal, written & presentation skills
·  Presentation of reports/ analysis & proposals to internal clients
·  Represents department in multi-divisional teams
·  Conducts recruitment & development of junior staff – performance appraisals & coaching of communication skills

Planning / Organising
·  Develops with supervisor detailed plans for own areas of responsibility within reporting requirements
·  Organises availability of resources to ensure timely completion of tasks

Analysis / Problem Solving / Innovation
·  Performs complex analysis & consolidates analysis performed by junior accountants
·  Provides professional advice to senior staff from other business units to solve business problems
·  Indicative task: complex product costing across multiple regions or internationally

Service Delivery
·  Liaises with customers on major difficulties or problems or complex products/services
·  May liaise within Industry
·  Contributes to improving processes which deliver better service
·  Reviews standard of delivery in own section & acts accordingly
·  May intervene in service recovery

Teamwork
·  Supervises teams – gives clear feedback & direction & encourages contribution from all members
·  Identifies development needs of team members & takes action
·  Communicates corporate or industry information to teams
·  Represents team at divisional events

Leadership·  Coaches &/or guides junior team members in all aspects of role
·  Competently communicates to junior team members objectives of team/department/unit &/or organisation
