Overview
This position provides direct patient care and clinical support to physicians and advanced practice providers while ensuring an efficient, patient-centered clinic experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient chart and prepares patient for examination.
- Assists the provider as needed with examinations and procedures.
- Assists in the collection of laboratory specimens and performance of tests on patients as ordered by the provider or arranges for patient testing, admissions and referrals.
- Enters and records patient information in charts in a concise and accurate manner.
Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Ability to multi-task and be organized. Maintain patient confidentiality. Ensure patient records are managed according to HIPAA and regulatory requirements. Work with HIM on timely release of information requests. Other duties as assigned within scope and standards of practice.

Qualifications
Education/formal training/licensure/certifications/experience:
- Graduate of accredited program of Certified Medical Assistants.
- Prefer at least one year of clinical experience in a clinic setting.
- BLS certification.
- SPICE certification within 90-180 days from hire date.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of medications and their effects on patients.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
- Age-specific skills.
- Ability to work with accuracy and speed, perform several tasks at one time and react calmly and effectively in an emergency.
- Knowledge of OBGYN standards of care strongly preferred
