Description

About the role

At BOQ Group, we're committed to protecting our customers and communities from the growing threat of scams. As our Partner - Scams Oversight, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage scam risk across the organisation while helping us meet evolving regulatory obligations under the Scams Prevention Framework.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of risk, compliance, governance and customer protection. You'll provide Line 2 oversight, advice and challenge across scam risk management activities, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to strengthen controls, improve governance and embed best practice scam prevention frameworks.

You'll work collaboratively with teams across Risk, Financial Crime, Product, Customer Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, helping BOQ Group navigate an increasingly complex fraud and scams landscape. Whether you're supporting the development of governance frameworks, driving meaningful risk and compliance reporting, influencing risk outcomes or helping the business understand its obligations, you'll be making a genuine impact on the safety and trust of our customers.

What makes this role particularly exciting is the opportunity to help shape a growing area of focus for the industry. You'll have the chance to contribute to strategic uplift initiatives, influence how scam risks and obligations are managed across the organisation and play a key role in strengthening BOQ Group's readiness for the future.

About you

You're someone who enjoys partnering with people, influencing outcomes and bringing risk management to life in a practical, commercial way. You combine strong risk or compliance expertise with the ability to build trusted relationships and help others navigate complex challenges.

You may have experience in risk or compliance, and fraud, scams or financial crime exposure, and you'll bring a solid understanding of governance frameworks, oversight activities and risk management principles. You're comfortable providing constructive challenge, asking thoughtful questions and working collaboratively to achieve better outcomes.

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys continuous improvement and thrives in environments where they can make a meaningful contribution. You'll be a strong communicator who can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical actions, and you'll have the confidence to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Most importantly, you'll share our passion for protecting customers and helping build a culture where risk management is everyone's responsibility. BOQ Group is a place where our people can be themselves, challenge thinking, drive meaningful change and make a difference that matters.
