Job Description:
This job is responsible for executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by gathering and organizing data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.

Line of Business Job Description:

This job is responsible for independent quality reviews to assess adherence to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and operations standards for Wealth Management Legal Order Operations.  This role evaluates completed work, identifies defects and process gaps, and provides actionable feedback to support continuous improvement, operational excellence and risk mitigation.  Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality control routines and processes within the LOB. 

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with controls and Quality Assurance (QA) practices for WMO Legal Order
  • Conducts and coordinates quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness
  • Performs QA activities including executing on controls, managing cases, and reporting results
  • Supports initiatives by identifying potential procedural updates, test script updates, and data discrepancies to enhance QA program success
  • Document defects, evidence packages and quality findings
  • Ensure evaluations are completed within required service levels
  • Provide quality results that equip the business with adequate detail to provide coaching
  • Partner with business stakeholders, leadership and quality teams to ensure consistent quality standards and drive process effectiveness
  • Assesses the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
  • Provides administrative support for the monitoring and testing of controls by gathering and organizing data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Complies with controls and Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
  • Supports operational research required for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews and captures data and information relevant to inspection metrics to support governance activities for dashboard reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience supporting Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith (MLPF) and Private Bank (PB) operations, or equivalent experience in wealth management, private banking, investment advisory, brokerage, or related financial services environments
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance with experience in performing case and transaction reviews, measuring adherence to quality standards and reporting results
  • Experience in identifying root causes of defects or errors, and providing actionable feedback to improve quality and performance
  • Demonstrated experience managing caseloads in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing work to meet established service level agreements and business objectives.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality reviews with a high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to established policies, procedures, and control standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings, deliver feedback, and present quality, risk, and control-related information clearly and accurately

Pay range

$25.00 - $35.76 hourly pay, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Predictable pay

This role is compensated with a base salary and is not incentive eligible.
