Our Commercial Banking team provides tailored financial solutions to established businesses across a diverse range of industries.

We support clients typically generating annual turnover of $3 million to $15 million, or with commercial lending requirements of approximately $1.5 million to $10 million. By taking the time to understand each client’s business, goals and challenges, we connect them with the right solutions across cash flow, capital, wealth, risk management and investment.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team of Relationship Executives and Analysts who work together to deliver positive outcomes for our clients and the broader Brisbane business community.

Do work that matters

As a Relationship Executive, you’ll manage and grow an established portfolio of diversified commercial clients while identifying and developing new business opportunities across the Brisbane market.

You’ll build trusted relationships with clients, develop a deep understanding of their businesses and provide tailored financial solutions that support their ongoing growth. Working closely with Analysts, Credit partners and product specialists, you’ll lead opportunities from initial conversation through to structuring, negotiation and execution.

Your responsibilities will include

• Managing and growing an established portfolio of commercial banking clients

• Building strong, long-term relationships and developing a detailed understanding of each client’s business

• Identifying and converting new-to-bank opportunities across the Brisbane market

• Originating, structuring, negotiating and executing commercial lending opportunities

• Applying sound credit judgement and financial analysis to support quality client outcomes

• Partnering with product and specialist teams to meet more complex client needs

• Representing CommBank and building strong connections within the Brisbane business community

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

• Experience managing or supporting a Business or Commercial Banking portfolio, ideally involving lending requirements above $1 million

• Strong credit assessment, financial analysis and deal-structuring capability

• A sound understanding of business banking products and commercial lending

• A relationship-led approach and genuine interest in understanding clients and their businesses

• The confidence to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills

• A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering positive client outcomes

You may already be working as a Relationship Manager or Relationship Executive. Alternatively, you may be an experienced Small Business Banker who is ready to step up, manage more complex client relationships and broaden your commercial portfolio exposure.
