« Introduction to the various methods used in policy research and to the use of multivariate quantitative methods to conduct a research project. Research design, data sources and analysis. The qualitative methods examined include the use of focus groups and interviews; quantitative methods include simple and multiple regression, logistic regression, and factor analysis.»

Requirements:

Ph.D. in a social science discipline, with demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods. 


Experience teaching qualitative and quantitative research methods for social science research or public policy analysis is an asset. 


Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research or policy analysis in a professional setting (e.g., government department, international organization, policy think tank, or non-governmental organization) is an asset. 


Familiarity with research methods commonly used in the fields of public policy, international affairs, or security and defence studies is an asset.
