Description
We are hiring on behalf of a leading offshore marine and construction company with decades of experience delivering complex oil & gas projects across the Middle East. The company is seeking a Marine Operations Manager (Senior Engineer) to drive high‑impact offshore construction and maintenance initiatives, leading pipeline, subsea, heavy lift, and platform projects with advanced marine spreads.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead marine operations for offshore EPC, construction and brownfield maintenance projects.
- Plan and coordinate offshore pipeline installation, S-lay/J-lay, repair, hydrotesting, commissioning and maintenance.
- Manage dredging and marine construction activities.
- Oversee offshore platform installation, modification, maintenance and decommissioning.
- Coordinate heavy-lift operations involving crane barges, derrick barges and offshore construction vessels.
- Support subsea cable laying, retrieval and repair activities.
- Manage marine spreads comprising AHTS, PSV, crane vessels, barges and support vessels.
- Coordinate diving operations and subsea intervention activities.
- Develop Marine Execution Plans, methodologies, risk assessments and operational procedures.
- Lead contractor and subcontractor coordination and ensure safe, efficient offshore execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8–15+ years of experience in marine operations and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven experience in offshore construction, pipelay, subsea, dredging and heavy-lift operations.
- Strong knowledge of marine logistics, vessel management and offshore construction methodologies.
- Experience managing complex marine spreads and offshore construction vessels.
- Previous exposure to offshore drilling, production, pipeline and subsea projects.
- Strong leadership, crisis management and contractor management capabilities.
- Ability to develop marine execution plans, methodologies and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in marine-related software and logistics tracking systems.

- STCW – Required
- DP Certification / Awareness
- BOSIET & HUET
- ISM / ISPS knowledge
- Master Mariner or Chief Engineer Certificate – Advantageous
- PMP / NEBOSH – Preferred
