Home Health Aide (HHA incl. STNA, CNA, PCA, or DoDD DSP)
SCHEDULE TYPE: PRN Only / As Needed

Most PRN Shifts occur on Weekdays (M-F) during Daytime Hours (between 7-8 AM to 5/6 PM)

You do not need to be available every weekday, every week, or for the entire daytime window; however, you must have availability for at least some weekday daytime shifts.

Occasional evening or weekend shifts may be available but are uncommon.

Applicants seeking only evening, overnight, or weekend shifts cannot be considered at this time.

PRN caregivers must accept at least 50% of cases offered within their stated availability and desired hours to remain Active and must work at least one case every 14 days (with exceptions when advanced notice is given).

While not guaranteed, existing employees including PRNs will receive priority consideration for additional hours, recurring schedules, part-time positions, and full-time opportunities as they become available and if desired.
EXPERIENCE:

JOB LOCATION & TRAVEL: This role serves clients in Coshocton, Ohio and surrounding areas in Coshocton County and adjacent counties within committed travel radius.

Willingness to travel to clients up to a 25-minute radius (from your home) is required.

Up to 45- or 60-minute client travel radius (from your home) is highly desired.

Additional PRN, Part-Time hours or Full-time hours may be available for Aides willing to travel to adjacent and nearby counties beyond 1 hour (not required).

While we work hard to offer available shifts whenever possible, we cannot guarantee any minimum number of hours, shifts, clients, or earnings. When regular caregiver openings occur due to retirement, resignation, client growth, or schedule changes, experienced PRN caregivers are often the first people we consider because they already know our clients, team, and standards of care.

STARTING PAY RATE:
- STNA, CNA & DSP: $16 - $19 per hour
- HHA, PCA & CHHA: $15 - $18 per hour
Hourly Pay is based on experience, travel, qualifications and certifications, skill specializations, positive employment & job tenure history, positive professional references, and overall client & team fit. HCN pays weekly, on Fridays, via direct deposit into your bank account.
FULL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Home Health Aide (HHA) requirements:

- CPR and First Aide Certifications (active/current certs preferred but may also be obtained prior to hire date through HCN or accredited third party).
- Ability to perform all typical physical tasks (listed below) on a regular basis, and willingness to do so safely, including:
- Frequent: standing, walking, stopping, ending
- Infrequent: squatting/kneeling, balancing
- Pushing and handling weight/force: 1-20 lbs. frequently, 20-30 lbs. occasionally, and 30-50 lbs. infrequently
- Lifting and carrying: 1-20 lbs. frequently, 20-30 lbs. occasionally, 30-50 lbs. infrequently
- Willingness and aptitude to perform light housekeeping in addition to patient care services as needed.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- 3-5 years (or more) of paid experience in a home health or caregiving setting.
- Paid experience with a Home Health Agency.
- Formal certification or training program: STNA (or 2026 graduation date) highly preferred; CNA or CHHA still encouraged to apply.
- Specialized certification or training program, such as DODD-DSP, Med Certification, EMR/EHR, etc.
- EMR/EHR experience and proficiency (ContinuLink highly desirable).

GENERAL ROLE SUMMARY
A successful Home Healthcare Aide provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist in their region. You will be assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professionals and perform services for clients as necessary to maintain personal comfort and safety in their home.
As a Home Health Aide, you will:
- Deliver direct patient care and support, following the established plan of care, to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Measure and record vital signs and other specified metrics as instructed.
- Assist with personal care tasks and activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, oral hygiene, nail & skin care, shaving, dressing).
- Perform household tasks essential to health care and living at home (e.g., meal preparation/feeding, laundry, light housekeeping).
- Assists patients in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes opening a container or pill caddy & handing it to the patient but does not include administration of the medications.
- Identify and report any abnormal findings or changes in the patient's condition.
- Help with therapy exercises under supervision of our therapists (e.g., range of motion exercises, ambulation assistance).
